I heard the game is still cheap feeling and dull/boring after a short amount of time since it's just a horde shooter at the end of the day. I guess if you follow the $1/hr rule, you can easily get 6 hours out of it but I'm saving my money.

apparently can be a fun time with friends but the single player is just you and bots for your squad and the bot AI is not great.
edit - ok I watched the whole AJ vid, and they like it as a fun with friends game. They say the sounds and the feel are good but no boss battles just endless waves. BUT they are reviewing as a $40 purchase, at $6... hmmmmmm. I don't hate GOW horde mode which this seems to be similar to, but for the whole game, ehhhh
TLDR - if you have a couple friends willing to go in with you, sounds good. All my friends have zero game time so I am gonna pass.

One big thing to note is that this game is now at end of life and the devs made a final patch which made giant improvements to quality of life and removed the grind for cards you may have seen in reviews. Now you can just buy cards for 0 credits at the store infinitely. These cards can speed up your xp and credits gain to further reduce grind. This makes the game sooo much more enjoyable.
