12GB of Vram or a 5060ti with 16GB, both are bad and poorly priced.

Well.. the 5060 ti 16gb msrp is 429. The 5070 is 120$ more. You just have to ask yourself is the 120$ difference a deal breaker? For me personally I'm more interested in the 16gb vram for video editing and ai tools because 12gb just isn't enough for a lot of applications. But the 5070 is way better for games. And considering it's actually "MSRP", and you can't find an Radeon 9070xt anywhere near msrp this is your best bet. It's way better for games than the 5060 ti.

Some games can already exceed 12gb, but you are still better off with 5070 between the 2.

100% Agree but the sheep will run to any slop Nvidia serves them sadly.

I just wish I could find a 9070 x3 in stock for msrp 😭

MSRP these days is almost unheard of and thus a good deal. If the RTX 5070 vanilla meets your needs, this is a great opportunity that might not happen again soon.

By all accounts the RT 9070 XT is a pretty solid buy if you can get it at MSRP.

I only own nVidia and have for ages. But AMD, this generation, if you are not needing purely the absolute best at any cost, should be winning.

You're not going to find the 5060 ti 16gb at $429 anyways.

If you are heavily into VR then you are still better off sticking with Nvidia.

used 6800xt with 16gb and OC it?
if you care about ray tracing at all the 5070 would be much superior than the 6800xt

It's good that u ask. The gpu practically has given itself value bc of the clients that are willing to pay and jacking the market. It's difficult to be a hobbyist in blender. They really should assist price modifications for those established as non-professionals. This is where brick-and-mortar store can be of value. This is where online fails. I see plenty 3rd, unofficial sellers selling above msrp. So this is where official retailers, the big ones, should discourage 3rd party sellers who magically have a load of an item at $250+ msrp at a time when it's scarce. This is important bc I can see them arguing economics 101 but that logic is now a self-fulfilling truth when it was made intentionally.

Remember when used books were sold really cheap? Somehow they are near price of new books but lower by a few dollars? Sometimes the seller understands scarcity, buys all, destroys a bunch, and sells higher price bc now it's scarce. This is the new, wasteful market of capitalists.

So, yes I'm disappointed at the gpu market in how their price is successfully being schemed. The manufacturers aren't doing enough battling scalpers.

Getting a GPU with only 12gb vram is a waste in this day. Nvidia is insane that not only are they ripping people off with their prices but they are not giving cards the Vram that is commensurate to their power, or what games are using these days. And thats super cheap considering the cost of vram... I really needed an upgrade from my 1080ti so i gave in and bought a 4070ti super a year ago, but $850 (at the time, even more now) for a mid range card is absurd. When i was younger top line cards were 600. That mid range card would have been 350. And no, inflation doesnt come close to covering that increase. And while a 4070 super would have been enough power for me, i had to go for the ti super for the 16gb. Really cards should be coming standard with 20 or 24gb today.

And to anyone saying go AMD, well as bad as nvidia are treating their customers, every time i have gone amd in my 20 years of buying video cards i have had problems with drivers. AMD is a headache with drivers and they take months longer to come out with driver updates (which is a considerable time frame to the life of a GPU). The drivers are the reason to spend more on nvidia imo. I did go AMD with my CPU though because for CPUs its fine.

I bought this when the deal was live about 3 weeks ago, upgrading from a 3060ti. I've had the card for about 2 weeks now.

Since day 1, I've had issues with some my computer audio popping (through monitor jack) when the system is at load - not sure if it's the card's issue. I think I waited too long, trying fixes like re-installing the drivers and whatnot so I've missed the 'no questions asked' return window.

Most important part of this is that the product I received was marked as new but I saw "Return Center" on the shipping label and there were visible scuffs on the underside of the card. Not sure if this is a BestBuy thing but stay alert. I'm in the process of trying to exchange it since I can't really find this card at MSRP
