It seems if you play this set of prequels, followed by the I-VI remakes, you'll have a pretty comprehensive set of the original gameplay in decent resolution. There is another 2007 remake of the 1996 original too, which appears to have revised puzzles, some gameboy color exclusive, and others after the 6th game, but for me this is more than enough for now.
