Not saying this is a bad deal, but for anyone who isn't worried about waiting around for the future this will likely go cheaper within the next year. I got the first gen wired version for like 15 bucks and the wireless one for like 25 around Christmas times. 8BitDo controllers regularly have steep discounts, even their $100 mechanic keyboard has been like 40 bucks several times now.

I think I might be the only one that doesn't like this controller. The left joystick gives extreme finger fatigue. I thought I hit my finger on something it hurt so much (and still does). Unboxed it last week. Put maybe 8 hours on it. Left thumb so sore. I wanted to like it. Not a fan.

Edit: Nope. It turned out to the be grip I bought for my Anbernic RG35XXSP. The buttons are already hard to push (even with tape mod) and moving my thumb out makes for an odd movement from the thumb. I'll give the 8BitDo another chance in a few days once my hand recovers.

In the same boat. Returned this shortly after i got it, felt the grip angle was too uncomfortable for anything longer than 30mins since your hands need to be angled more outwards than a typical controller

Xbox 360 controllers are capped at 125hz on Windows no matter how they're connected. That's beyond awful, and why they can get away with so many on a single adapter.
This controller is 1000hz.

While I do like their efforts in pushing the boundaries of controllers, I don't like the fact of them being vague on the trade offs, I think they took away iOS compatible and Dinput via 2.4Ghz from this controller.

I think they basically treated early patrons as beta testers, meanwhile kept releasing improved versions in every few months.
I think they should provide polished products with long term support, I don't felt like shoving out half a hundred bucks every 3 months for their improved versions.
A clearer firmware upgrade roadmap or a trade in program should also work.

They're all slightly different, but it is very confusing.
RetroGameCorps on YT just a few days ago put up a video for one of the new controllers and broke down the different categories.

AFAIK, the ones that specify they support Android have good compatibility.
Though, I would say that if you want to use this with a phone then you might want to consider a telescopic controller instead like the GameSir G8 (or Plus for Bluetooth).
