The subwoofer of HW-Q990F is very underwhelming and considered worse than the D series. There are a lot of negative feedbacks on reddit. If space is not an issue, I'd go with 990D while it lasts. Not counting on the on-going tariffs will likely make the price increase.

They did. Luckily i kept the original box so I just packed it back up and shipped it off. Getting customer service was a pain. First have to get through the AI bot, then have to sit with a first level CS rep who is just reading canned responses, then finally they send you to a rep who helps you. The whole process took about an hour.

Well definitely different opinions out there but this guy on AVS Forum - pretty well respected on the site - said although he wasn't expecting much improvement over the Q990C because of minimal hardware changes it was actually a a lot better...

What happened to the, "This should be dropping in the coming weeks, because of new blah, blah, blah" comments that I read a month ago? This is as low as it has been going for the last couple months. Just like I said, it was not going to be hitting the crazy low of $600 that a few people swore it would. You can keep waiting all you want, but you're going to be waiting a very long time just to end up getting it at this price anyways. People on here seriously need to stop listening to the fringe minority who perpetually tell people to just keep waiting. Can you afford it? Do you want it? Then get it. You will always make more money. Let's say it miraculously does drop to $600 a few weeks after you get it. Oh well. You will never remember or care about that extra $260 in a year. Not even in a few months. A couple of my friends have this and it sounds amazing. It is easily worth this price. It spanks everyone else's flagship soundbar systems.
