Is this what I want to redoing upholstery in my car? I fixed some of the foam & fabric in my car but missed a spot and may need to do it again, needle most pliers didn't seem like the best tool and I just reused the rings that were already there.

Hog rings yes, but not these rings, and not this tool. It's much too light duty for your use case.

I own this tool, use it to attach chicken wire to, well, mostly other chicken wire.

Also required if you're building animal cages for rabbits, chickens, etc

Hog rings come in a variety of sizes. Checking with a local metal supplier may help determine what size you need. I have 3 different sizes which I use for different farm projects.

Looking at the Amazon page, I see the 300 piece pack, with 3 different sizes, that I have used.

Cool tool. By the time I needed this, if ever, I'd forget where it is. That doesn't always stop me, though. I find cool stuff I forgot I had in my multiple tool towers/stands/shelves often.
One could easily mistake me for a handyman. Nope, just a tool "collector".

Yep, or rabbit proof fencing for the garden. Extra staples can be purchased at your local "tractor supply". Home depot and lowes don't carry these at all.
