you are forgetting ram, ssd, and the os.
You are probably breaking even if you build it yourself.and you need to have microcenter nearby

I personally like having a warranty in one place and not spending time building a pc.

I just purchased one from them (through Newegg) and I'm very happy with it. Arrived very well packed and had foam
on the inside to keep the components safe from moving around during shipping. All the components seem to be well known named brands expect the power supply which was a non modular Gamdias 850w. Mine came with an Asus b650 pcie5 motherboard, ryzen 7700x and a zotac rtx5070 for $1550 so this is a pretty good deal imo.

Further info about it. My motherboard has 2 M2 slots and the case supports 2 SDDs and 1 3.5" Hard drive (or another ssd)

Pretty sure this is the mobo mine came with

They also have a 9700x with rtx5070 for $1799 on Newegg

I see the PC is back in stock. I can get an extra $250 back from CapOne. Is it worth it at a final cost of $1,652?

You need to have a Cap One account first then it is a random offer to anyone. Usually these offers are based on searches and leaving that page up.
