You could also use the box it ships to you in to accomplish the same thing.

Or you could just leave the cables naked and happy like god intended.

Use wire ties from your bread to tidy up cables. It's free and you don't have to contribute to useless plastic production.

It is kind of small:

With a size of 12.6" x 5.5" x 5.08", it's perfect for managing cables and wires.

Yeah I don't get the point of this. It looks worse in the pictures than just having the cables go behind the desk. Now there is a box with cables sticking out of it on the desk.

If you have wires coming from different directions crossing, this can make it look a little better. The best case I can see is if you have cords with a lot of slack, you could roll them up as necessary inside the box where leaving that exposed might look messy. Very limited either way.

In case this helps anyone, here's the approach I use:

Buy a roll of 1/4" (8mm) wide Velcro, and cut to length as needed to wrap cables. Also buy (or borrow) a bunch of different (and easily distinguished) bottles of nail polish, which is handy for marking each end of each cable. The velcro wraps can be expanded (or shrunk) as needed to keep things neat. I have many, many cables at my workstation and they can become a mess.

I was able to cover 4 cables in a 1m plastic spiral purchased from eBay for under $4. Just used 12 inches length to declutter the visible wires. A lot more is left for later use.

Can this be mounted under the desk so that all the wires and slack are hidden underneath?

The issue I have with these is if you need to take one out or add one, it's a process. I went with the self wrapping sleeves from amazing. Double the cost but works better long term for me.
