Seriously..... it could be new old stock OR sometimes manufacturers will produce a certain model for a few years.
eg... Sony X900F TV it was a 2018 model but it was produced until 2020 even though it had been replaced by the X900G and X900H.

I guess you haven't perused Facebook market place or craigslist in a while. Used M1 MacBook airs asking price is 500-600$ USED with damaged or lost chargers and possibly locked out Apple ID logins with who knows how many times someone's dog hair has been injected into the machine. This is brand new. Kinda unheard of

Nothing on sale in the 5-600 range is going to be entry level on a windows laptop. Hell we have had some laptops with dedicated GPUs lower than this recently.

I think the real thing this has that you won't find is the screen quality at this price point. Need to probably go up to 700 or so before getting something comparable even on sale.

I don't think windows vs apple specs is an interesting discussion though honestly, most people aren't willing to change OSs just because the hardware is cheap (and if they are, they probably don't want to go towards mac lol). But this is a killer deal for entry into Apple Silicon M1 series. Probably the best price I've seen new on a Macbook air ever?

M4 its $850 brand new and come with 16GB RAM, you will have at least 8 years of upgrades, when this one probably has 2 or 3 years left. Its double the speed, and repair process is a little bit better. If you can save the extra $300 just save it. I'm pretty sure M4 will be available for $799 at Black Friday.
