50% vinegar, 50% water in a cheap spray bottle.

To basically make windex, take a 32oz regular spray bottle, put an inch of rubbing alcohol and an inch of ammonia, fill with water and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. I've been making that since consumer reports had an article on how to make your own cleaning stuff. I haven't bought a commercial spray cleaner since the 80s.

Leave the ammonia out and double the rubbing alcohol to clean natural stone like granite and marble. Increase the dish soap to a teaspoon if you're going to clean something greasy like a stove.

While you have a big cheap bottle of white vinegar from the warehouse club, add that to the rinse water in your carpet steam cleaner when you clean carpets. You'll get up way more dirt, your house will smell like pickles for a day and then it'll smell great. Antimicrobial and antifungal.

Just use straight vinegar. It's cheaper and works great!

I'm considering it just to get the bottle for reuse. 20% vinegar to 80% water plus a little dish soap. Empty bottles are often more expensive than filled ones. ๐Ÿคจ

You can buy two gallons of white vinegar at Costco for about $5. Mix with distilled water about 1/3. You can add a few drops of dish soap (I use Dawn, 6 drops to a gallon of the recipe below)

For ammonia glass cleaner:
1/3 clear (not cloudy) ammonia
2/3 water
6 drops of Dawn dish soap per-gallon (more will cause streaking and doesn't improve cleaning performance)

Same recipe I use to clean my bung hole

I was able to get four at this price. Worth it just to have decent spray bottles when the product runs out.

I have three walls of glass and hard water in the shower.....this is an amazing formula and little to no effort.

Spray, walk away.

Come back the next day, spray wait 15 minutes and wipe clean

1 part alcohol
2 part vinegar
7 parts water

So 500ml....

350ml water
100ml vinegar (I use 5% you can use higher if you can find it )
50ml alcohol (I use 91%, 70% is fine and will work )
4 drop any dish soap (I use dawn platinum)

Math:

(1 part) Rubbing alcohol 70%
$2 for 16 Oz.
(2 part )Vinegar 5%
$1.50 for 32oz
4 drops ๐Ÿ’ง of dish soap
$.20 cents
(7 part) Water 112oz.

So 1 and 1/4 GALLON costs roughly $3.70 or .02 cents an ounce.

.46 cents vs $2.70 here, savings of 80% off of sale pricing.
