If you're not using/refilling it often then get the butane insert [amazon.com] as the fuel will evaporate quickly

Don't smoke, not a pyro, but always have to own a zippo. Like a good utility knife, they just feel like something one needs to own; even if it's just fulfilling your inner caveman's desire to control fire.

Seems these have been $10.97 for a long time at Walmart, they used to offer the Street Chrome for the same price.

Seems like an ok deal at best unless I'm missing something? A quick visit to Google shows Zippo's can be had for a few bucks more. Heck, Amazon has a kit with a chrome one, fluid, and flints for $9 more. Also, imo this is a less desirable finish.

I think that the metal is a natural disinfectant/antimicrobial. IIRC, copper has this property. Some might like the finish. Personally, the one I've always wanted was the rare Fujiko Zippo. Sex appeal aside, those are freaking beautiful (and I love Lupin!).

Lol I remember watching a video where this small girl bet this one dude she could get out of a sleeper hold. Guy was like hell no impossible, you're pretty much screwed at that point!

As the dude had his arms around her, she takes out her lighter and lights it up under his arm. He let go instantly ha

So you know.. Decent defense tool.. Maybe hahah

I feel like one of those "jet" flames would have been more ideal as those are a little more wind resistant than the regular flames.

Is it bad that I don't smoke and only want to buy this to just flip it open and closed?

A mini taser is better. I have seen that video. Taser may have a longer lasting effect on the attacker.

While you're at Walmart, look for the insert combo that comes with a regular insert as well as the butane insert for $20. The butane torch insert is about $20 by itself. I found it up front near the check lanes.
