FYI, it's cheaper to use their specialty pizzas and then customize it the way you want over doing build your own. Also, if you want a meat pizza with 5 toppings, use the Pacific Veggie specialty pizza and remove all the veggie toppings and replace them with meat, it will come out a dollar cheaper than just selecting their MeatZZa and adding the 5th meat.

Just FYI - depending on where you live, this may be more expensive than their year-round $7.99 large 1 topping carry out deal. This deal allows for delivery and isn't limited to large 1 topping, but it's worth noting.

Did they get rid of XL pizzas? At least at my location, none of them come in 16" size even if you choose NY style crust.
That's odd since the NY style crust is just the hand-tossed crust stretched one size bigger. So if you have large hand-tossed available, they should be able to make XL NY style. Maybe the store just doesn't like to make them because it takes a little more skill to stretch it to size...but if they're selling the large NY then that's supposed to be made from a medium HT dough so... Confused

Little Caesar's, believer it or not, takes the medal for that. I tried all of them in my area and I found that Little Caesar's is like a homemade pizza bread. The layer of cheese is so thin when compared to breading and the same thing with Pizza Hut. Domino's, one can at least taste the cheese and sometimes, when I let it sit out, it smells like an old sock (that is how you know the cheese is starting to ferment). Papa John's has like the perfect ratio. Weirdly enough, all three brands give me heartburn (which means the ingredients are low quality). It is kind of like when someone gets a headache or are allergic to preservatives, the body can tell. The only pizza that is yet to give me heartburn is Speedway's pizza and that, like 7-Eleven's, I am sure, is also low quality.

If rat droppings were the new topping, toxically tasty. Try our new cockaroachovies as well.

Totally agree with you.
Papa John's is not bad compared to all other pizza chains. I just wish Papa John's tomato sauce is not so sweet, in fact I wish they would give an option for little spicy sauce.

I think Domino's capitalized on this. They offer so many different options.

Honestly, what kind of turned me off from going there is just letting their pizza sit out (just being lazy). The next day I could actually smell and taste it going bad. I know whenever I drink spoiled milk (whenever I had the misfortune of finding out that way) my cheeks would puff up, before I spat it out. That is how I was whenever I ate Domino's pizza a day later.

I am not sure if this makes it seem like they are a go-to because they use actual cheese or the fact that, just the experience, makes it seem like their pizza is repulsive.

I had family that gave up a franchise because of the endless requirements that cut profits to the bone, or worse.

Requiring a new $50K oven when their old one was working fine. They either had to buy it or give up the franchise. It was the last straw, they sold it off.

$10+tax for a 14" one topping from Dominos. Wow! what a deal! πŸ™„

The previous deal they had was light years better. I created a medium pan pizza which was $44 after tax at regular menu price that ended up working with their $10 any pizza deal. That same pizza would be DOUBLE the price if using this current 50% off promo.
Even their everyday $8.99 1 topping carryout coupon would be more than a dollar cheaper for the same pizza than this current 50% off promo.
