No offense to the OP, but FWIW

FYI - Here's a paraphrase of my 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:

I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death / crash about 5+ times per day.
- The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
- Sent it into the Asus service center, and when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4 minutes. They said the WARRANTY does NOT include any replacements or refunds.

I will never buy another Asus product. And will avoid buying from Best Buy also.

.

PS - Asus has a D- rating at the Better Business Bureau - Failure to respond to 83 complaint(s) filed against business

Thanks for sharing your experience with Asus customer service. I would like to share my experience with a couple of Asus 28 inch monitors that I purchased maybe 12 years ago and been using every single day for hours at a time, they are as good as the day I got them after all these years, just thought I'd share. Same with Asus smart watch, I used two different models for years and are still working fine, just not using them now, cheers.

Does anyone know how this compares to the 32" Samsung G51C? I have that monitor and game on it with no issues, looking for another 32"

Think the key might be 12 years ago. Not saying this monitor won't last 12 years too. But in the past 5 they're quality has been hit or miss. Usually on a product by product basis. Some are amazingly resilient. Some just plagued with issues.

suck because they used to be one of my go-to brands. Nexus 7 still going strong XD

Thanks.
Agreed.
The problem now is, does anyone really want to buy from a company who will treat you so badly, that you basically have NO warranty...?

Its why I always try to buy through a retailer who offers some kind of extended warranty or will at least do its best to compensate (BB, Costco, etc.)

I've never paid for extended service plans before -- because the manufacturer's warranty usually took care of any problems.
But according to BB customer service on 4/16:
- My Best Buy+ Membership: $50, extended 60 day EXCHANGE ONLY. NO Refunds.
- My Best Buy Total Membership: $180, extended 60 day EXCHANGE ONLY. NO Refunds.
And do I get to decide that I've had it, and want an exchange? Or do THEY decide when I "qualify" for one?
And will they just give me a used, open-box, refurbished, or recertified POS? Or a new product, like the one I paid $1300 for?

Yeah. To be fair I always use a credit card that extends warranty and just go through them XD.

Yup. I've done that before.
Unfortunately, I had trouble with my CC at BB for this purchase, so I used PayPal instead :-(

"PayPal does not offer a specific "extended warranty" program. Instead, PayPal offers a Buyer Protection program. This program provides reimbursement for eligible online purchases if they don't arrive, or if they are significantly different from the seller's description. It also covers situations where you were charged for something you didn't purchase. To be eligible for Buyer Protection, you must use a valid PayPal account, file a dispute within 180 days of the purchase, and the item must be a physical, tangible good"

Yeah. So annoying that using a credit card through best buy can negate those benefits. Then they want you to use it as your soul wallet. But fark that

I understand your frustration. I've never had an issue with an Asus product. Right now I have two Asus monitors at work, an Asus gaming laptop and an Asus Zenbook. I also have another Zenbook at work that is like 7 years old and still kicking. Maybe I'm just lucky??

I'm glad you've had good luck with Asus!
Maybe their quality control has gotten worse since...?
And maybe they have a new policy of maximizing profits by denying warranty replacement claims.
83 complaints at BBB suggests that it isn't just me.
