Complete overkill. This is designed for BMW vehicles but meets the spec of several others. Your Maxima simply needs an API SL rated oil. Most newer oils are API SN/SP, so you're fine with the $20/5qt oils.

I wonder why they package this in a weird size of 5.27 qt..lol they are usually 5qt..and back in the day they were like 5.1
id rather use pennzoil ultra platinum over liquidmoly.
