It's not summer yet so this is a non-issue for most states. Also, Amazon has started included cold packs for some shipments. It is much less of an issue than it used to be.

Exactly. Regardless if its Summer or not, who cares. It's 80 degrees here all week and I'm in the Midwest. If it's Subscribe & Save only, my date isn't for another 2 weeks and it could easily be in the 90's by then. I have received one order from Amazon with a cold pack and it was shipped from a 3rd party. I'm reluctant. Seems like chocolate truffles would be especially sensitive.

No interest in these anymore after their legal comments about how "excellence" was only a marketing term and their very high levels of heavy metals...but I tried to add and got normal tax here in Chicago. Not sure why you're seeing 50% tax rate.

Why not ask Amazon? Curious, how many people are you feeding with that much? What's the usual shelflife on these? what temperature do they melt at?
