It's free if you are going. But it's not worth going for it. Tenders, fries and sauce only. Man KFC is so expensive. For fast food prices I would say they are the highest then DQ then Wendy's.
How far they've fallen. I remember thinking the $5 fill-up boxes of not too long ago were one of the best fast food values
Using this coupon with the Taste of KFC 2 pc. Deal which is 5 dollars in my area gets you a thigh, drumstick, 3 tenders, mashed potatoes, fries and a biscuit all for 5 dollars, pretty solid deal these days.

Before they started with a series of similar daily "deals" they had their chicken sandwiches for something like $2 if you ordered online, deal lasted weeks or months. Certainly a good deal back at that price but never returned to kfc since then

I think this is their best deal yet. They always run a deal where the free item is like 33% the value of what one has to spend. This 3 piece tender box is definitely valued at like $7+ for just the tenders alone.

Those were horrible values. It was no different than a combo meal, which combo meals themselves are ripoffs. If you do the math, they take like $0.50 here and $0.25 there to make a meal out of it. Never buy food priced by the franchise or comboed. Mostly buy when they have a coupon or a BOGO deal (even still, they are making $$$ off it comparative to the items). Of course, once they pay corporate lease, payroll, and itemized commission; they are near bankrupt. "Welcome to fast food. May I take your order?"

Great deal. Can get a fried chicken sandwich and 3 piece tender box for basically 5 bucks or so.

I go to Wendy's maybe once a year. I just got a free chicken sandwich with $3 purchase (got 6 nuggets for 3.50), wasn't too bad

add a $.30 thing of gravy to get over the $5 minimum as the sandwich is conspicuously priced at $4.99

Do you mean the crispy chicken sandwich? In my area, it is the smaller of the other one and is only worth $2.19. The premium one is like $5.99. So you essentially paid $3 for a $2.19 sandwich unless it is worth more where you are at. You want the free item to be more than the minimum purchase.
