That's funny. In the maybe 15 years that I have been ordering from them, I don't recall anything ever being cancelled
There were definitely issues with cancellations on the last deal for the chocolate flavor.

It was a frontpage deal and probably bought mostly by brand new users on Vitacost which IMO caused some sort of fraud protection. The traffic must have been highly unusual compared to what they're used to.

It sucks, but if you've been chasing deals for a while you know cancellations are just part of the game. If I can get a deal somewhere a set back won't stop me from trying again.

I've gotten cb on vitacost many times while also using promotion codes. I'd give it a try!
Already tried from two of my regular cash back sites. Both zero as it says right in the terms.

From where? And what was the cost per pound?
Before the post was edited he said Dana foods. I think you can find a reddit thread if you google it.

Didn't seem like much of a deal last time I looked at their pricing.

Possibly the mass of orders exceeded their stock also?

Don't think so, it was always available to order and never went out of stock. But some people did get OOS as the reason for the cancellation so who knows though.

I was one of the people that had my order cancelled for the Isolate Chocolate deal from the last week or two. They required me to confirm my details (name, address, email, phone #) which I did promptly, then they sent me a cancellation email 5+ days later. The entire time their website showed it as In Stock, even while cancelling orders for multiple people here saying they were Out of Stock. I had even created an account on their website! I think that deal was too good so they cancelled a lot of orders.
I want to order this, but I'm going to avoid VitaCost due to previous experience.

No, Dana Foods is far from a deal now.

these guys are unbelievably shady regarding tax. i order from them a lot, and they slap sales tax seemingly randomly on a ton of tax-free products, including this protein. i always have to contact them and they always credit it back, but the fact that they continue to do it (literally years) means they are either wildly incompetent or are doing it purposely. i have even filed several complaints with both the state AG and the bbb about it.

i'm glad someone earlier brought up another company, myprotein, that does the exact same thing. they always claim that since they're from the UK they have no idea about US state taxes and so just charge everyone. i told them this is illegal and they don't seem to care... THEY are the absolute worst and i'll never buy from them again

also, not sure how much this matters, but while NOW is a very reputable brand and this is excellent protein with thorough testing results, it should be noted that the protein is in fact sourced in china...

I've had this experience with multiple companies including iHerb. They refused to refund the tax as well.

It's almost always on protein for some reason. Not sure what's going on with it. Some sites have a 3rd party handle all their sales tax collection apparently.

I ordered deal on 4/11. Canceled. Multiple calls and chats with CS. Reordered next sale weekend at lower discount. Canceled. Ordered on this sale. Canceled. Latest orders now in limbo (expecting cancel). Claim OOS while website continues to push product claiming in stock.

4 calls, multiple chats to CS. One detailed request to email support.

I have submitted a formal complaint to the BBB. Waiting. Everyone can post a review on BBB site.

Our household ordered from Vitacost for years. Seems like deceptive biz practices now.

I'll update if I ever get an order filled. Has anyone?

I am glad you mentioned them taxing protein. I just got off a chat with them to refund my tax! Google is telling that in Ohio, if the label has a "Supplement Facts" box, the product is not a food but a dietary supplement and taxable. I never knew that.

Wow. I didn't know Now Foods is some guy who orders bags, fills them with dry milk, seals them and sells it on Ebay. I thought they were a big company that was around for decades, selling lots of different supplements that are all tested and food products, also sold on a bunch of other known websites and in stores nationwide. Please provide a link to the information, I'd really like to know more. Reminds me i have to go to the bathroom and Exodusme32.
NWN guy did something even worse. He filled bags with maltodextrin, not powdered milk. Heck, I'd be okay if it were powdered milk, which has a decent amount of protein.

After watching the price of this product I regularly use go up and up over the last several months, I ended up bulk buying a 20 kg bag of instantized 90% whey protein isolate and storing it in three 5 gallon buckets (food safe).
I am curious as to why you removed the supplier's name?

are you talking about NOW foods? they are very reputable. you can see on their site (or request, they'll send them) literally a half dozen 3rd party lab tests for everything they sell. the only issue with NOW is that their stuff is packaged here (USA) but is sourced from China...

He's responding to another poster who tried to compare NOW Foods to New World Nutritionals which was a scam company that sold cheap protein that turned out to be some weird mystery powder after people on reddit sent it in for testing.
