Here's a paraphrase of my 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:
I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death / crash about 5+ times per day.
- The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
- Sent it into the Asus service center, and when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4 minutes. They said the WARRANTY does NOT include any replacements or refunds.
I will never buy another Asus product. And will avoid buying from Best Buy also.
.
PS - Asus has a D- rating at the Better Business Bureau - Failure to respond to 83 complaint(s) filed against business

however, just in case anyone is confused, this is a B650 chipset
not a B650E
so no 5.0 pcie x16 slot
There are some many possible causes of the BSOD and the fact that it was "fixed" 3 times kinda indicates it's not th emotherboard (assuming it was replaced).

3 times at their recommended service provider, Geek Squad, s/w & h/w scans... viruses found & removed. 3rd time there, they re-installed windows.
1 time at Asus service center in Jefferson, Indiana. More scans, re-installed windows.
AFAIK, no hardware was replaced. They had it for 7 days in the service center. Can't confirm if they actually did anything... except maybe made it worse.
Didn't show me anything, just kept repeating NO refunds/replacements, via email with their Escalations team, and on AsusHelpUS on X. They also kept saying, Ask Best Buy for a replacement.... BB said no, ask Asus. BB also kept saying I should have bought their $180 Total Membership BS, then they would have given me a replacement or store credit (within 60 days of Feb 11). Fuk BB too!
As a counterpoint, I have an ASUS motherboard, power supply, and router that have been running since 2021 with no issues.
As for the deal, seems like a decent deal of looking to build a low budget PC.
