The Guild OM-250E limited-edition archback acoustic-electric guitar cleverly fuses tradition with innovation. This mid-sized orchestra model features Guild's specialized archback design, which uses the construction techniques of archtop guitars to draw the sides and back into a subtle arch. The result is improved projection and volume from the body's optimized resonance chamber. And by eliminating back bracing, the archback reduces weight while boosting resonance and sustain. You'll feel the acoustic power of Guild's archback design when you strum or pick the OM-250E.

Project Your Sound With the Archback Design
The archback design pioneered by Guild is what sets this acoustic-electric guitar apart. Drawing the back and sides into an arch improves resonance and sustain. By eliminating back bracing, the design reduces weight while increasing projection. You'll feel the acoustic power generated by Guild's specialized archback construction technique when you strum or pick the OM-250E.

Comfortable Playability With a Contoured OM Body
The OM-250E's mid-sized orchestra body contours to your shape for hours of playing comfort. Its 25 1/2" scale neck has a vintage feel with just the right heft. The smooth satin neck finish lets your fingers fly up and down the rosewood fingerboard with no resistance. The OM shape works well for both fingerpickers and flatpickers. Whether you're a beginner or experienced player, you'll appreciate how this Guild guitar feels like a natural extension of your body.

Premium Spruce and Rosewood With Guild Craftsmanship
With its solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mother-of-pearl inlays and Guild's signature open-gear tuners, the OM-250E carries on the company's legacy of quality American acoustic craftsmanship. The thin satin finish is lightweight and resonant, allowing the tonewoods to sing. When you make music on the OM-250E, you'll hear and feel why Guild acoustics have been cherished for over 70 years.

Plug in the Fishman GT-1 Pickup for Amplified Versatility
With the Fishman GT-1 pickup system, you can plug the OM-250E into an amplifier or PA for amplified gigs and recordings. The GT-1 combines an undersaddle piezo pickup with a preamp that has volume and tone controls discretely mounted inside the soundhole. So, there's no drilling or mods needed to the guitar body. The Fishman pickup accurately conveys your dynamics and the onboard tone knob lets you shape your amplified tone to taste. Setup takes moments, letting you go from unplugged to amplified with ease.

-Satin-finished solid Sitka spruce top with arched rosewood back and sides
-Mahogany dovetail C-shaped neck
-Pau ferro 16" fingerboard with dot inlay
-Fishman GT-1 undersaddle piezo pickup

I actually bought this guitar from ProAudioStar at the time, but ended up receiving a demo model (or actually used). One of the tuners was defective and there were some minor imperfections on the body itself. They ended up refunding $35 after I complained. However, I also bought a Gretsch G5222 from them and that one was not brand new either. I will not buy from ProAudioStar after these experiences, the conditions listed are not accurate.

As for the Guild OM-250E guitar itself, it has amazing tone and playability which is why I bought another one from Guitar Center...for sure worth it for $350!

I had the tuner replaced...absolutely amazing tone on this Guild OM-250E, I consider it a highly underrated guitar, and sounds much better than many of the more expensive acoustic guitars I've picked up by top acoustic brands. This is a limited production model with an archback (apparently only 300 made). Great projection, resonance and playability...a hidden gem!
