I wouldn't call it "easy MM". Avg. sale price on Ebay is around $150. After associated fees, you'll clear around $115. Dunno where you live but 89.99 + tax is close to $100 so $15 profit isn't worth it. Of course P2P sale on FB Marketplace would be more profitable.
You should post a pic of those you sold on FB too, for you know… validation.
Update, it was marked as $299, asked the attendant to check the price with the scanner and walked out paying $90

You have to scan it for the price. Mine had $150 tag on it, but scanned $89.
I went to a Target that had two in stock, but had the $299.99 tag. I asked the employee to scan and they did so with a hand held device which also showed $299.99. Regarding "scanned" in your post, do you mean the employee handheld scanner or actual scanning at a checkout register to buy?

At the register, but i don't see why it would show differently?

Hmm, maybe? It's a clearance item, so I don't see why they would increase the price back up. I think the idea is to clear these out for the Instinct 3.

Experienced the same, store had multiple in stock with $299.99 tag, and hand held device also showed the same.
