Not much to shout about except the price. I have an old HP w/ 128 GB SSD & 8th Gen i3 & only use for basic web surfing, & it gets the job done (and updated to Windows 11 too), so this is OK for somebody. Repped.

Is the hard drive in this upgradeable? 128 is rather small.

This is a pretty crazy price for a very functional laptop. This is way cheaper than a N305 and even most N100 PCs, at least ones you can buy locally.

I see $219 at the link. the problem is it has 128 GB of ufs storage. that's not as good or fast as an SSD. plus it's soldered on and there's no way to upgrade it. I'll pass.

No offense to the OP, or any Asus fans, but FYI / FWIW - My 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:

I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death. The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
Sent it into the ASUS service center, and when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4 minutes. They said the warranty does not include any replacements or refunds.

I will never buy another ASUS product. And will avoid buying from Best Buy also.

PS - This is the one I bought:

.

April 25 EDIT: I talked to the Best Buy store manager yesterday, hoping that they could step up & help a loyal customer out. Nope! But he did take this opportunity to tell me that I should have bought their ($180) Total membership plan (within 1 or 2 weeks of purchase), so that I might have been eligible to have gotten store credit or exchange. No, I don't think I will.

PS - Asus has a D- rating at the Better Business Bureau - Failure to respond to 83 complaint(s) filed against business

For comparison, Staples has an HP with very similar specs on sale for $299.99 this week, $81 more than the Asus at Walmart. The Staples model has the same processor, the same memory, and a worse screen (Walmart 1080p, Staples 768p). But, the Staples computer has a 256GB SSD vs Walmart's 128GB UFS, so bigger and likely somewhat faster storage. For mostly cloud-based computing, the Walmart option with a much higher res screen seems to be a better deal. https://www.staples.com/hp-15-6-u...t_24622236
