That seems like a positive for a pre-built. Not everyone wants to deal with PC building, and avoiding any assembly up charge is a good thing!
Parts availability at MSRP is also rare right now, the 9070xt is getting scalped
It's easy until it isn't. No or low experience PC building it is VERY easy to negligently damage parts that won't be covered by manufacturers.
There's also the peace of mind knowing a builder has done some sort of QA.
And the Costco benefit of 90 day return window is a huge plus.

Love this.. I just ordered parts because the prebuilts I was looking at were a huge premium.. but lots of people would prefer a prebuilt over building because you know you have a ready-to-use PC without worrying about build, getting the OS with drivers installed, and making sure everything is stable.. great deal

Building a PC is not a science. Is plug and play following manuals step by step and you tube videos in some cases for tweaking the system for better performance. Once you built the first, oh yeah, you'll want to keep building more and more.

Not bad for a Pre-Scalped PC.

Comes out to the same price as if you bought the GPU from scalper.

These new cases are pretty good. Big holes.

This is about the same cost as parts, if you're assuming things like a 900 dollar 9070 XT - which, to be honest, is kind of an unfortunate reality between the unfortunate trifecta of tarrifs, availability, and scalping right now.

As far as prebuilts go, this is honestly a pretty good deal in the current market; I'd only say consider a MicroCenter trip if you live near one first, but otherwise, not bad at all. Would like to know more about the PSU in it for peace of mind though.

No for 1900 u could easily get a 9800x3d/7800x3d + 5070 ti

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vJ68C8

1760 for 7800x3d + 5070 ti

Edit: this 2tb drive is cheaper and faster but doesn't show up on pcpartpicker https://www.newegg.com/kingspec-2...29&source=

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Co...bo.4777477
Can save 60 bucks with this combo so 1700 for 5070 ti + 7800x3d

I'm not sure what your reply demonstrates; I didn't say a more performant machine couldn't be made cheaper, I just said the parts cost about as much as you're paying.

Your list is solid, but a person who is in the pre-built market is not going to have the knowledge to choose a cost efficient PSU that is still reliable, the most cost effective air cooler on the market, and a cheap yet thermally effective case. They might know that Zen 4 X3D is better for gaming, sure, but if you know the rest of that already....why are you shopping for a pre-built?

Better gpu(5070 ti) in that build. 5070 ti is like 5 percent better in raster then dlss is also a bit better than fsr4 and more widespread. Also amd doesn't have a ray reconstruction equivalent yet. Whether or not that is worth 80 dollars is up to you.

Edit: just realized the 5070 ti build is cheaper ofc get that

I've built a PC and agree. It was fun and I'm gonna do it again. Not everyone agrees though!

After watching some of the current video by Gamers Nexus this price will be a steal compared to what it's going to be after the tariffs kick in.
