I'd assume they're still burning through their stateside inventory that was received before Tariffpalooza. Lots of uncertainty at the moment, but they know if they jack up prices too high and too quickly, they'll lose business to Amazon and the Big Box stores. They also know if they lose our foot traffic, they lose out on the revenue generated from items with higher markups. For now, the plan appears to be to keep prices low and to keep the inventory moving. Seems like a win win for everybody. For the moment at least.

The on-the-water clause, most likely. Anyone blaming tariffs for price increases before may 27th is not being entirely honest. Much like taxes, we won't know what the true cost is until they start being demanded (upon delivery).

Yes, items that are on sale or have an instant savings designation are eligible for the coupon. You just can't stack a standard coupon or ITC coupon for a specific item with this one. The sale items can actually be significant as it could push something into the $10 or $20 range that wouldn't normally qualify.

The coupon states a limit of (5) items but most people (including myself) report having no limitations with the discount applying to all qualifying items, no matter the quantity.
