how does this compare to the LG G5 in terms of color volume / BT 2020 coverage? Haven't seen a head to head comparison.

$3600 at greentoe and ebay. A year ago i would have pulled the trigger. Its about time they started dropping the price on this model from 2023. At the time it had the best picture, processing, and audio combination of all the oled TVs until this year. Now the 83" 2024 LG G4 and the new 2025 83" G5 have exceeded it in picture quality. This tv should be getting dumped at $3k or lower due to the newer Sony RGB mini-LED tech thats going to leave normal OLEDs in the dust. It has way better color accuracy, processing, and will probably pair it with decent built in audio. It also costs less to make in larger sizes.
I could see justifying this price if they offered an 83" version but they don't. At this point if I'm spending $4k+, it needs to be 83" or bigger.

The mini-led models are about 1/2 the price now...

Mini LED technology will never surpass Oled in contrast , motion, color accuracy and most importantly angle viewing.
Also I would still place the A95L above the G4 for color and motion. G5 looks to take the crown this year though by early previews it's expanded on all fronts.

Sony trying to stay expensive for no good reason will soon be out of business with TVs. Just like their experia and many other stuff. Sony is just killing itself in many lines of business. Feel sorry for such a great company!
