This thing has lost it's luster with the commercial release of Oculink docks that you slot in your own graphics card.
That is true but the main advantage of these kind of Mobile GPU docks are that you can carry them with you in a backpack which is not feasible for a OCulink Dock with external GPU attached to it.
Not, I really wish this had the option of both Oculink and Thunderbolt. It would be nice if it had 16GB of VRAM too. Perfect size for my backpack, but I don't have any laptops with Oculink currently...

This thing has lost it's luster with the commercial release of Oculink docks that you slot in your own graphics card.
As mentioned in another post, this allows for true portability to game on the road.
Have a different dock with a 7600XT built in that I've been using for about a year and a half and it works pretty damn well.
