Should I get a spray bottle or the kit? Spray looks cheaper and easier to use

Cant you use both? Im thinking the turtle wax ceramic spray green bottle first (but its so thin) and use the carnuba wax 2nd on top.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

This is one of those products that really don't have much of a place anymore.

For protection, some of the ceramic sprays offer worlds more protection.

For gloss, I never found this or the paste version to offer a ton of either, though it was just behind some of my favorite products when I was using it (15+ years ago).

Durability, wow, this one didn't have much, but still better than some of my favorite products that I found to offer better gloss.

Ease of use, this one wasn't great, but it was super easy to see when it hazed over, unlike some of the products of today.

I feel like most people would be better served with an easy spray protectant, and followed up with a routine wash+topper. If you want to do the wax on, wax off thing, there are other choices.

Great deal if you love the nostalgia of a traditional wax. Most people who aren't regularly waxing would be much better served with a spray ceramic wax to use post wash or if they are really feeling ambitious, Turtle wax Ceramic Polish and Wax (a liquid all in one solution)

So I know that the original carnuba wax was wax only. The newer versions added a "Cleaner" to the formula which I assume the cleaner was like a polishing compound all in one. Similar to a shampoo and conditioner in one but we all know they don't work. You're supposed to do them separately. I would prefer to use my buffer first with polishing compound then apply only Carnuba wax. I know nothing about any of this stuff since years ago. That's all I know about the older stuff

This a good deal and product for hand application. Grab a seat, a drink, play some tunes and zone out. This a great way to relax with your car. For those who understand get it. Everyone else can get a spray.

Looking at this product made my hands hurt.

1. No way I'm applying this by hand
2. Just use a spray wax or sealant. Your 40 year old self will thank you. There are so many fantastic products like Griots 3:1 of Optimum Opti Seal that will give you results with much less work.

Waxes are still good for car shows and garage kept cars. Definitely a deeper, warmer glow to it over a ceramic spray wax. Sure it doesn't last as long as some spray, but sometimes you just want the feel of wax on, wax off and there is a level of satisfaction to that
