I own several Morakniv models, including this one. For the money, it's one of my favorite knives for general outdoor use, camping or any kind of bushcraft. It's an upgrade from their basic/craftline series with a softer, more grippy handle. It's quality Swedish 12C27 stainless steel, so it's food safe and won't rust or stain nearly as easily as their high carbon steel versions do. You will still need to keep it clean, dry and hit it with a bit of oil once in a while, as with all knives, carbon or stainless steel. 12C27 stainless isn't a premium steel, but it's darn good for this price, taking a wicked edge and holding it a decent amount of time. We've had better discounts on this knife in the past, but prices are on the rise and this is a good deal. Like I said, I'd buy it at full retail, and I don't say that about many knives. And this sale is on the black version not orange, for once.
