Pulled the trigger. I have the original M18 Rover which is battery only, and while it's a great light, I definitely could use another light that can work off a cord like the M18 Rocket tower that I have. I plan to sell the charger and battery because I'm all set on those, and $120 including tax (mil discount) means it'll be about $60 for the light. I just looked at the "hack" which has the Rover as a free tool, and the hack only brings it down to $115 for the light only (normally $179 at full price). This is a fantastic deal.

The new gen 3 rover blows the gen 2 away in every category.
