Vornado fans are great - way more air moved vs other cheaper fans. I've had this one on price watch and it popped today.

so since this one is twice the price of those cheap fans it will last twice as long and not crap out before and start vibrating and rattling.

Do they still make Vornados with variable speed controls? My 20+ year old one still works like a champ and I would like another but all the deals I see pop up here are all have only 3 speeds.

The 633dc has fully variable speed (but costs twice as much)

I have one of these 630s and it is a great fan.

Im leaning towards the dreo. Vornado gets by from reviews of its decades old models that were built like tanks, newer units not so much. Also ease of cleaning and noise level are better on the Dreo supposedly...
