I've had a lot of cheap fans with excellent reviews from Amazon. They suck, and not in a good way. Bought a box fan with nearly 5.0 stars and excellent "specs" but it just makes a ton of noise and doesn't move any air.

We bought a Vornado, works way, way, way better than any other fan we have. Basically, I drank the juice.

Purchased the 630 here, thanks OP. We have a 660 and it's incredible.

This one has the dial. I have a Vornado that has buttons and must press it to turn on.

This type of power activation is better for automation or connected to a light switch set.

Dreo's are quieter, they even state 28db, Vornado has no listing of how quiet it is other than just claiming they're quiet... However, the Vornado might circulate air better than the Dreo, cos i have the expensive floor standing Dreo and it honestly doesn't feel like great circulation, but the air flow coolness and quietness is awesome.

A small bedroom is good for this fan. Had it for 2 years running basically non stop. Put it next to the window when it's a little cold out.. and you'll be in heaven. I wouldn't put this in anything bigger then a bedroom though.

And I wouldn't want to be cutting a wire on a live running fan. Seems kinda....not a good idea.
