We bought these about 3 or 4 years ago. They are still going, but you can tell they don't shine as bright by the second summer. I am considering we buy these to replace the first set.
They are super easy to open up and replace the battery. Mine had a 18650 lithium ion that looks like an over sized AA.

I'm in Phoenix. I ordered these in November for about $22 but sent them back for some reason. Probably weren't bright enough. I did get identical looking ones in Jan 2024 that were the EZBASICS brand and they were outside all summer. They're holding up fine so far. One is just propped up on something and it has blown down a couple times in high wind and still works.

How bright are these things? Bright enough to make you see the path?

Have a few of these going on like 5 years. Shocked that they still work and also that the chinese company name didn't change 15 times since Smilie . Maybe they stand by their brand who knows but picking up more at this price as backup. For my application it works but may not for larger areas. ty

How much light do these put out, and what can i expect if i only get moderate sun in the location?
I'd like some for along the back of my deck and over by where we keep our trash, because i'm tired of running into raccoons at 2am, but they would be in shade most of the day. Would they suck up enough juice during the day and be able to light up maybe 10sqfeet for a couple of minutes?

Thanks OP. I opted for the 6 pack front button that came out to $26. It's been a long time since the last purchase of led path light so hopefully they have gotten better.
6 packs is ~ 1 inch smaller than 4 pack

Will they scare deer away? I hate deer - they keep eating my plants.

For the folks who've used this already, does the plexi/plastic clear cover haze over time? Along with your solar portion?

I Find that's the most problematic part of this. I've bought these over the years and they'll just fade and die out, out there.
