Does anyone who has this use the extender for leg space immediately, or wait until the child is older? I have a 1.5-year-old and am not sure if I should use it already or wait until they are older (they are on the smaller side).

Immediately. For more leg room.

We currently use this for our 3 year old. I did not extend it immediately, only when the baby's legs started pushing against the back seat. It's a great car seat that's also future proof.

I used it around 1.5 years, but our kid is pretty tall and was getting cramped.

Had this seat for a while for my second child. It feels so flimsy. I really loved the extended legroom but I can't get over how cheap it felt. We switched it out for a Britax and feel much better, the seat is more secure and doesn't feel like it's made of the cheapest plastic known to man.

On Target website, the regular price mentioned is 229.99$ and not 299.99$

I have one of these in one car and a chicco in the other car. The graco design is fine, and the leg room extender is actually awesome, but overall the Chicco feels better built. I have no doubts the Graco is perfectly safe, but we save it for the "roadtrip car" and use the chicco for the wear tear of daily rides to daycare. The Chicco cover also comes off much easier for cleaning. I don't regret buying the graco, but I also don't regret paying more for the Chicco.

I have the same problem. Tried it on my wife's phone as well, it said successful but I don't see it saved in the app. I'll try chatting with customer care support tomorrow.
