Well, they are nonstick to begin with, which means they will probably only last a few years anyway, so I don't think a detachable handle durability will really be a factor.

I've had 1 set for about 2 years used on a induction range. They work great, easy to store. They are holding up pretty good...even with my daughter using them! So at this great price I'm ordering another set and probably get rid of my ninja set.

My girlfriend bought these pans and they had that little bit of aluminum showing on the bottom and the aluminum oxidized horribly and she was only washing them by hand with dawn dish soap. So what happened is the aluminum oxidized and got this black powder all over everything and it it was horrible… so she literally threw them in the garbage and I bought her new stainless steel pots and pans

That was only after a few months, but the actual cooking performance and nonstick was very good

As an owner of Carote pots & pans, the black stuff only comes off if they have the exposed metal bottoms and you've ran them through the dishwasher which oxidizes the exposed aluminum. The black stuff washes off with soap & a brush in the sink. This isn't an issue if you hand wash them. Importantly, this listing shows they've improved the bottoms and coated them to address this complaint. My set is an older version with the exposed bottoms and fixed handles, and it's my favorite set of pots and pans. I would buy another set but my first set is still going.

I couldn't find anything that says what temperature they are safe to because a lot of these kinds of pans have a limit that you can heat them to until it compromises the materials and/or the coating in a way you won't want to ingest anything cooked in it.
