We had two of these in my house for years. They break easily. And once they do, you'll have to tape them to keep them closed. I threw them out the first chance I got.

I have what appears to be the same model from a previous Wayfair deal. The quality is perfectly fine, same as any cheap particle board furniture. Only downside is it won't fit any shoes over size 9. We have used ours daily for 2 years and it's held up without any function issues or damage.

Cool yeah need something better with all the kids shoes etc. Plan was to buy two or three of them and upgrade the top paint them etc. Going to screw them to the wall as well. IKEA hacking if you will haha.

I have the black version of this one [ikea.com] and It's held up for 5 years so far (fingers crossed). I wear a mens 9.5 and it fits them, but some of my dress shoes seem like they just fit. There are 2 tiers per door and they fit 2 of my shoes per tier and more with my wife's or if they're something similar to sandals.
