Grain-free dog food causes heart problems. Probably because dogs don't eat peas in the wild - and dog food manufacturers have been increasingly putting legumes into dog food in order to cheaply boost protein percentages.

If you're trying to feed your dog a grain free vegetarian diet, I'd be concerned. But as long as your dog is getting taurine from the meat protein in the food, they'll be fine
