I got one of the $899 refurbs from Acer's ebay store the other day (previously posted here). For what my opinions worth, I am very impressed with its performance and build quality for the price.

I'm very happy with this unit. Wiped the drive and did a clean window install. Reinstalled the Killer(Intel) Driver(not the killer control pad delete that), Nvidia drivers and predator control panel. Nice to know it uses an Intel killer WiFi card.

Very important to see the battery charge profile to not charge over 30% when in performance mode.

It needed a cooling pad for gaming but the acer tool is letting me OC both the cpu and GPU and it doesn't get hot with the pad.

I'm not sure if the cpu is actually being overclocked or simply the voltage is allowed to max. The GPU I can verify gets both a voltage and clock increase.

Cooling pad was key. I can game for hours and it won't get hot. The cooling pad fan at max also means the laptop fans aren't running anywhere near max.
