• Choose the Sony WH-1000XM5 if you want the best noise cancellation, superior customization, and long-lasting battery. Ideal for travelers, people working in noisy environments, and those who enjoy a deep, controlled bass.
• Choose the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 if you prioritize sound quality, especially for classical or acoustic music. It offers a premium design and excellent clarity, but the ANC and features are not as adaptive as the Sony.
• Choose the Bose QuietComfort SC if you need ultimate comfort and reliable noise cancellation. It's perfect for long listening sessions, with a focus on clarity and balance. However, it lacks the depth of sound and customization options of the other two.
I got the Bose and definitely didn't thank myself later

Are these too nice to do stuff around the house/potentially some outside stuff in hot weather like yardwork?

More than 50% less than the new S3. Wondering if the new S3 is twice as good with their new driver and lossless codec etc.

Both Sony and Bose are too much plastic. The reason noise cancellation better because tighter clamp band seal better to block sound.

I have the Sony and Bose, and just got the px7 from local Costco , agree with you . The B&W build quality is way better.

Kinda! I own the Px7 s2e and while researching saw a fair number of posts about the pleather wearing out in <1yr. Pad and headband replacements from an official source are available but seems like a hassle
I'd be more comfortable beating up a pair of Bose qc's (more durable, more third party parts)

Rtings has detailed review and comparison against other well rated headphones.

"Depending on your preferences, you may enjoy either the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless or the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Wireless. The Sony have a less bassy sound profile, although they're still warm-sounding, a virtual soundstage feature, and a better performing ANC system. They're also more customizable. In contrast, the Bowers & Wilkins are more comfortable and better built. They can also receive audio via USB-C, which some users may prefer. However, you can't EQ them as extensively as the Sony headphones if you like to tweak sound profiles."

"The Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless are better over-ears than the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Wireless. The Sony are more comfortable and have a virtual soundstage to help immerse you in your audio. Their ANC system offers significantly better noise isolation performance, and they have more customization features, thanks to their companion app. That said, the Bowers & Wilkins are better built and support aptX Adaptive codec so that you can stream high-quality audio or achieve lower latency for streaming video."

"The Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless and the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Wireless are both good headphones, but the Sennheiser have a slight edge. While both headphones are comfortable, the Sennheiser have more tools to alter their sound profile, better ANC, and a significantly longer continuous battery life. On the flip side, the Bowers & Wilkins are better built and more stable fitting, and their connectivity is similar, too. You might prefer button controls instead of the touch controls on the Sennheiser, though."

Best ANC headphones I have tried are the Sennheiser Momentum 4 by a pretty good margin. I don't know if there are any deals right now but they go on sale from time to time

Why is it only letting me ship to warehouse? I'm a member.

Edit: nevermind, ordered. I've been wrong the p8x but every the for sale one is super pricey. Feel like a good entry model, ha!

Thanks for sharing. I have the Momentum 4s, and was considering these because of the price. Guess I'll stick to what I have.

I have tons of headphones/earbuds...higher to lower tiered. I got these a couple months ago. These sound great wireless and sound better wired with amp. These are a deal at $200. I choose fidelity over anything else. Not a gym headphone. More of a focused listening headphone.
