In terms of price or quality?

Ultimately ymmv when it comes to quality, and this applies to everyone. Is your water hard or soft? Is your dishwasher older or newer? Do you leave your dishes soaking or are they dry and crusty? Do you pre rinse beforehand?

I have moderately hard water, probably 250 TDS before filtration. I also have a Samsung dishwasher that's probably 7 years old. Finish Quantum and Cascade Platinum work the best for me. Costco is 95% as good, every now and then one or two dishes may not come out completely clean.

I load my dishwasher with dirty dishes, I don't pre rinse (just scrape debris into trash if it's excessive, wipe out grease from my air fryer basket and toss that in the trash).

I ultimately buy Finish and Cascade's premium pods when they're on sale, but if they're not I'll buy Costco knowing that it does almost as good a job for me.
Dang, I've been buying these for years and the price has gone up so much. A Slickdeal used to be 92 count for like $12. Is this really slick now?

I got the platinum from costco for 24c each. This is 25c. I also got the Kirkland (costco brand) for 10c each. I am alternating them for a couple of times each now. And ....
There was no difference! And in some cases, the costco one worked better. A couple of plastic bowls turned yellow color and I thought they were done after so many washes with Cascade. Now the Kirkland turned them to white again!

I think he meant is price cheaper than at Costco.

Sam's currently has premium plus 82 ct for 25$ which is what I usually use

How is it much easier to pour when you simply place the pod in. That being said, I do use the powder cause it's much cheaper

these pods get eventually wet and start sticking with each other. They are nasty too, just thinking some plastic dissolves there with your dishes.

With dry detergent you just pour how much you need, you can even use it for pre-rinse that pods don't do.

Pouring detergent into dedicated compartment just feels right.

I prefer not dealing with the mess and fuss of powder detergent. I've never had a problem with them getting wet or stuck together. Just keep them in a dry place.

I used powder long ago, plus a rinse agent if I remembered to fill the dispenser. Once I tried the pods the dishes were amazingly far more clean and sparkling. I will not return, the pods are much simpler to use IMO as well.....That said I am now using a batch of Finish because they were much cheaper than Cascade when I last purchased; I switch between the two as I can tell little difference, gotta love competition.

Adding to this—it *really* depends.

I have an older GE dishwasher and was considering a new one because the Costco detergent wasn't getting my dishes clean. I used the platinum plus pods and it's like a whole new dishwasher.

we switched to powder and saw it worked just as well and costs so much less. pouring powder from a box is still easy enough nobody would bother to complain in our house. Bosch washing machine from 10 years ago

We would prefer to use Kirkland tabs because they are cheaper. However, we have very hard water and they leave white film on glasses

The Cascade Platinum pods do not leave any film on glasses
