Extremely similar performance to a newer 14600k that costs around $100 less right now. Not a SD.

Anyone that links Userbenchmark as a legit site isn't in the know and how horrible that guy is. Link a reputable site.

For multi-thread loads are still 16% faster with the 13700K vs the 14700K.

That site is biased against AMD, not Intel to Intel. If you think a 16% performance gain in something unrelated to gaming is worth $100 more dollars, that's on you bud.
