Rtings. Scroll down to the section that explains the difference in size variants, it explains it. It is only for the 83".

"The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall."

Depends where you are mounting it. The only real benefit at the 83" size in the c4 slight brightness increase for non gaming content. They run the same processor.

There's a very long list of what I don't like about the LG magic remote. I'll list three: The mouse pointer cannot be permanently disabled. It's very annoying. The 0-9 buttons is due to UK requiring it, old law made for cable tv boxes. Yes you can program them, but I prefer a smaller remote, the thing is huge and isn't flat. Third, the go back button is very buggy on certain apps, like YouTube it can often take you back to LG Home Screen. I returned a Sony Bravia 2023 tv to get this LG, love my decision, but I sorely miss the Sony remote. Also no backlight in 2024? Whole thing is awful. Trying to find buttons in the dark, the texture of the buttons, okay I am going past three. ha

Interesting, thanks for that info. I do find the processor speed on the 77" B4 to not be as snappy as the 85" Sony X90L 2023 that I returned. I'm okay with the B4 not being as bright as the C4, might even prefer it. I found the LED Sony way too bright at night, 0 brightness was too bright so I had to go into contrast mode. I won't ever buy an LED tv again, not even mini led. The lower blue light, this tv is easier on the eyes at night and doesn't affect my sleepiness as much as the "flashlight" LED tvs.

Ok I agree about the numbers lol, haven't needed those for like 20 years now personally haha. I kind of like the mouse pointer thing but admit I don't need to use my remotes too often so maybe it hasn't bugged me yet. Thanks for the info. 🤜🤛

I have to say I really do enjoy this tv. Yeah I have had much brighter sets. But there is very little I need to fiddle with on this. It just looks good. Now if there were some way to unlock the additional brightness that we know has been gimped by LG...

I've tried this in the past. They told me to cancel the order and reorder with the deal activated. I had no luck.

If you bought this at $2070, like me, you can start a return and specify that it's not what you expected. I first tried to do a price match through their customer service but because it had already been 15 days after purchase they couldn't do anything. They specify that returns have to be requested within 15 days of delivery so I started a return. I had to wait a day for them to respond but I was offered $200 and a 1 year warrantee extension. Still not even half as much as I would have saved with the coupon but it was better than nothing. Honestly, I could have rejected the offer and returned it and then just placed another order with the coupon but I wasn't sure if they were going to hit me with a restocking fee if I did. Maybe I could have asked for more but I didn't want to push it.

Have the 65" B4. Watching hockey now. Contrast and brightness look great. Now just hoping the $809 deal comes back here for the 65" before 90 days return expires at BJ's since they don't price match.
