This seems great at face value, I'm concerned about the LG store experience vs Costco and the fact that it's another $250 to get only a 3 year extended warranty.

I think even if it costs a little more, I may just do the $1,999 Costco deal. I can just go pick it up tomorrow, and the 5 year coverage and local box store convenience is worth a handful to me.

Anybody else struggling with which one to do? lol

With the expensive warranty and Perks10 it seems to come within 100 bucks of Costco, minus 2 years of warranty and a long wait time for delivery.
my research into it was LG's warranty through LG.com was not good. I'm going with the no extra warranty on this one. if it breaks I'll get something new. I don't have a Costco near me and I'm not a member. It would be a decent drive to a neighboring state and about $400 more.

The convenience of them deliver is 10x better. Many dont have a truck. Also they would need help setting them up. And the time to pickup and set up urself. If ur making 50$ an hr I would think it be at least 4 hrs to go pickup bring home and setup. X2 since u would need another set of helping hands. My 2 cents. This is an insane deal for oled 83" and I would have jumped on this deal but already bought the 98" tcl from previous holiday.
Yeah, even though I have a truck I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Costco deal with free delivery over the LG Partner deal. It'll be here Friday, the price came out to barely more than the LG store with their worse warranty and month long delivery window. Well worth the few extra bucks.

For reference:

Costco deal:
5 year warranty (2 factory+costco, 3 allstate), local pickup or fast delivery, $100 gift card taking it down to $1,899

LG Partner:
4 year warranty (1 factory, 3 LG by Asurion), slower delivery, noted nightmare situations with LG Partner $1,869.98

So actually yeah, if you want the warranty package, the Costco deal is 100% the way to go. Somebody feel free to correct my napkin maths if I'm off.

I have this (83 B4) and an 83 C4 in my office. They're identical. I'm convinced the 83 B4 is a C4 with the brightness software locked at 10% less. This is an amazing deal! When I got my 83 B4 a year ago, it was $2,000 OTD including the S90TR surround soundbar.

How do you get the $100 cash card at Costco?
They email you a digital gift card a few weeks after purchase. I believe I received my 3? weeks after delivery when I purchased this TV last month.

If you're looking for the 83" C4 instead, the Perks10 code works on that model as well. Just picked it up for $2,735 (including tax and free shipping) AND a free 43" LG TV. The C4 83" seems to be going for around $3k before tax, so this seemed like a solid deal!
Is B to C worth $1000?

Pretty good deal if you missed the one last week. That was 83" B4, S80 soundbar, and free wall mounting for $1800.
Don't count the wall mounting as free. That service is horrible and no way I would trust those workers to hang a 83" OLED

My understanding is the B4 has the same updated processor as the C4 specifically on the 83" model, and the main difference from there is brightness.

A rack for some additional brightness seems steep to me but I reckon everybody has a different requirement!

Excuse me, but how in the hell did you get that deal? This TV was new a year ago and that soundbar was $1000+. How on earth did you get both of them for a total of 2 grand after tax…a year ago?

That's good to know, I have a older C8 and brightness has never been an issue

Short answer is no. It's a marginal brightness improvement for ~$1k more for 83 inch.
Rtngs sums it up well here:

Someone in this forum said "I have this (83 B4) and an 83 C4 in my office. They're identical. I'm convinced the 83 B4 is a C4 with the brightness software locked at 10% less."

This corroborates what I've learned about this OLED - 83 B4 is identical to the 83 C4 except for the brightness booster.

It makes sense to either save money and get the B4, or pay more for a significant, very noticeable improvement with the G4 IMO.

There are tons of comparison reviews out there, check rtings, reddit etc and make a decision for yourself. Here's a good comparison: https://youtu.be/3ew4vXcmDgU?si=jf7fdmTSOHdnzhTx

I mainly wanted the C4 for the additional brightness and 144 Hz... And just knowing in my head that I didn't leave extra performance on the table lol

*edit apparently the 83" version of the B4 can also hit up to 144 Hz.

Regarding delivery times, here in NC it's scheduled for May 8th, not Amazon Prime speed, but not unreasonable for such a large item.

That said, a longer delivery window is advantageous if another TV bargain comes along in May, and you want to cancel without dealing with the return hassle.

The 83in B4 is 144hz along with the same center mount. You have to realize reviews like the ones on rtings only ever do one size. TVs have almost always differentiated once you got to weird sizes (the 40inchers) or the largest sizes. This is why every 83in OLED uses an LG WOLED panel, even Samsung, cause there's really only one supplier atm. This was the case in the LCD era too (an entire line would be VA until it hit a size and then swapped to IPS)
