"The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall."

Ok just placed my order. Hope this works 😅
Unless you have a super bright room, have potential for bad reflections, or need a lower profile TV for wall mounting, get the B4. It's phenomenal for the price. Anyone who finds a significant difference with it is just nitpicking from the perspective of the average user, and likely the average user wouldn't even notice the differences.

I don't agree
I have a 77c1 and a 83b4
Both are great but I'll say the glossy finish on the C series is nicer than the matte finish on the B series
I prefer the C for clarity / crisp picture / brightness while the B series in 83" is a great size and ok performance
The slick deal is for those that are getting the cash back deal. <1k for this TV no complaints

My B4 is glossy, and I've never seen an LG OLED with a matte screen, though I guess you're referencing the AR coating, which isn't really matte. Yeah the B isn't as good at that, but like I specifically wrote, I have zero reflections in my setup and never will, and I even specified reflections being a reason to not get it.
My wife and stepson both can't tell the difference other than the G4 having way more reflections since it's next to windows, and they also prefer the B4 because it's a lot closer.
As for brightness, in RTINGS testing, the B4 was brighter than the C1 in 9 of 13 tests. They didn't test the 83" version though. Regardless, in my setup it's plenty. Just last night I thought about lowering the leak brightness setting because a scene with the sky in the background was a little too intense.
In my situation, there's zero reason to upgrade to the G4. I have two of them, but they are in very bright rooms. I'm sure there are many who want this for a mini home theater setup with no reflection concern. If money is important, get the B4, at least the 83".
I was only able to get 12% rewards on mine as none of the other offers would work. They'd all change to 2% after loading them.

I'm in a semi bright room so maybe that's why I have a different experience with the b4
Can you share your settings / picture modes for sdr hdr
I'm finding anything other than vivid too dim, but vivid is crazy washed out and saturated

Mine just posted! The best part is they paid out on the full price even though I used a 10% off code so it really ended up being about 67% back. Hell of a deal!
Edit: Well that sucks. I just checked the gift card options and they got rid of all of the ones I wanted! No REI, Lowe's, Home Depot, Instacart, Marshals/TJ Max/Sierra. Anyone else seeing those still?
Looks like they got rid of most of the good ones around 5/28. https://frequentmiler.c
Luckily I still have eBay as an option. Debating if I should just cash out everything in eBay before they get rid of that too.
