This is about what this is worth...it's a consumer-grade Bluetooth speaker stuck inside a commercial-looking speaker box. Mine is about 2 years old and no longer charges at all, but is still able to be powered when plugged in. Sound quality and volume is about the same as a large-ish common Bluetooth speaker.

Anybody try to convert it from AC to DC and try it in their car? Looking for a really small base? Cheap.

This model doesn't charge and it's way louder than a common bluetooth speaker

I have an older version of this model that I purchased about 10 years ago to amplify my kids's piano for a middle school talent show. 10 years later my daughter 18 is in a rock band and I do sound. I use it as one of my monitors for the drummer. Yeah- I know it's Pyle and everyone think it's crap, but for the money it is what it is. It's OK depending on what your use is and what your budget is. This is NOT a rechargeable speaker, and the output can go pretty loud, sound quality hits a bit higher than the price point.

How would this compare to a JBL Eon series?

Can I use two of these as wired stereo speakers for a 'park pavilion' party or backyard projector movie night?

I'm not expecting HiFi, "paid live music" sound quality for the 'park pavilion' party - just something better than two JBL Flip 5s; nor do I expect THX-cinema sound quality for the backyard movie.

If you think there's something better for the above use-cases for around $200, please send over model number/links.

Thanks

How large of a space and how many people do you expect?
