Because it's not in stock. The item has been deleted and is for pick up in store only. There is no stock in Texas btw.

It now shows in stock.

Ordered one myself. Any reason why they're marked down so much?

Without dedicated Graphics card, can't justify the original asking price and that's why it's marked down.
Good deal for $470+Tax.

Quickly read through some reviews. The knock is that a same spec'ed Dell laptop has more power than this HP version and actually better battery life and this HP version as well. As long as OK with that, seems like a deal. It's on the cusp as there's some better ones in the $600 range.

You are buying a 3 or 4 years old 12700H. Ram is soldered as a low 3200mhz. It's still decent power but I won't buy one myself.

OLED is the draw for me at this price, but seems it is only a $60 upgrade and no touch screen on OLED. Old processor and old stock is also making me waffle.

I have one from 3 years ago. I like it a lot - more than any other laptop I've had -, but the battery life is very short.

Out of stock in California. It's a very decent laptop as long as the hinges don't break in 2 years like most HP laptops, remember HP means Hinges Problem.

Can dual boot with any linux OS? I use Linux for day to day use but I need Windows from time to time. Thanks!

Such as? You know of other better quality/spec'd laptops that are i7, 16GB of RAM, OLED for $600?
