Have to ship warranty repair to china. No USA address . Also they start ignoring you when you qualify for warranty repair. Go with beeline or minisforum
Just got this a few days ago. It's tiny. I wiped it and installed Proxmox to play around with. Decent basic device for lighter use. It has been this price for months though.
It idles at 6 W. Light load is 8 W. On startup and heavier load, it will draw up to about 16 W and then settle back down to 6-8 W.
So I'm typing this in Ubuntu on a MeLE quieter 4C right now (fanless) and it's drawing 6-7 watts, even with a couple of tabs open and Slickdeals's ads reloading. (19V x 0.3-0.4amps.
With a you tube running it's up to 11watts.
I just fired up Geekbench6 and it's now at 16watts - I thought it would be higher, as I've lifted the power limit in the BIOS to 30watts and I have a cheap aluminum heatsink sitting on it. I'm pretty happy with the Mele4c - although I have hit a strange bug in windows that locks the MHz to 400 regardless of temp and only cycling sleep states fixes it. But yeah, it seems the N100 and N150 are leaps ahead of the N97 in power draw. I've been really impressed.
Oh, forgot to add. Totally idle with no screen plugged in, it it drops to 3W. It seems to use slightly more power (about a watt) on the USBC-PD port (which is runs at 19V) han on the USB-C 12V port, which it actually seems to want to run at 9V.

Amazon page is not clear about win11 included but reviews say it does. I thought a standalone win11 would be around $100. I know OEM computer gets a discount but this is looking good for me instead of upgrading

And it's pro. How can that be profitable for them? I am expected a bootleg version or some crazy spyware/crypto miner.

If you can get an N100 based system for a few bucks more, you should consider that. The power savings will pay for itself in a year for a system on 24/7, even just saving 3-5 watts.

I have one of these and its great. I'm surprised at the punch these little boxes have. I mainly use it to RDP into my work computer but still is snappy locally with web browsing and small every day use.

So I dunno. I have two of these machines (Paladyn and Beelink). First thing I do is complete wipe and reinstall using windows media creator image of a clean Windows download from Microsoft. Unless malware is baked in the firmware/root kitted, both machine reactivated just fine.

You think they pay for licenses?

It may have windows preinstalled, but never trust it. Never know what crap spyware, malware, miners, etc loaded on it. Worth just buying a copy and reloading from scratch.

Haven't bought one from GMKtec. I bought a similar mini PC from another Chinese brand and found out that their Windows 11 Pro is volume license version, so they can sell it very cheap. Technically, it's violating the license agreement with MS to install the volume license Windows in these to sell. IF MS found it, the license can be deactivated anytime. I contacted the customer support, and the rep gave me OEM license key to enter without any issue for free and it worked fine. Now it says OEM version of Windows 11 Pro.
