Dang I was hoping it was IPS, would this pair well with a 5070?

FWIW I bought this last Black Friday because I just had to know if it was all that at 240hz, but I returned it. I switch inputs a lot, and I couldn't stand the lag when switching. I bought three LG 1000r 180hz curved monitors at $150 each instead.

FWIW, these Samsung fast VAs are the ONLY VA panel I would ever consider using for gaming. I used the previous G7 variant of this and it was exceptional and superior to the IPS's at the time in every single meaningful way, and did not have the black smear associated with just about every other VA panel on the market.
This still beats IPS in black levels, and since it's coming from Best Buy assuming you're near one, it's significantly safer to get one and try it out than from Samsung direct. Samsung's QA is trash to say the least, but I am an absolute panel snob and the G7 I used previously was the best gaming monitor by a mile I had ever used until I switched to OLED.

I just got two of these today. No dead pixels, which is an instant win with Samsung monitors!

Haven't owned them for too long, obviously, so not an expert, but so far, pretty nice for the price. The picture is quite beautiful. Colors are vibrant, and it has a lot of picture settings to customize. Black levels are kind of meh, but if you use the contrast enhancer, it's decent enough (I'm spoiled by my other OLED monitor). The backlight is uniform on both units, with no serious backlight bleed, just a bit lighter at the top and bottom (where the light is). The RGBs are kind of gimmicky, but at night the one on the back is actually lighting up the area behind these monitors nicely, they're pretty blight. One thing I don't like, it's all the bloat. Smart TV features, I don't want them, I just need a monitor. A remote is nice, but having to move around that fancy Tizen menu to switch an input is just more of an annoyance, than anything. At least it's snappy, unlike my Samsung TVs that are very laggy, this at least makes it tolerable. There are also some dumb pop-ups when the screen wakes up. It has a gaming OSD pupping up every time, and then a message telling you how to access it, every single time. It's pretty useless, and I turned it off, but that required some tinkering using ColorControl application and the service menu, or you have to buy a service remote on Amazon for $8. Should just be a setting, but they don't make it easy. I'd say it's great for the price. At $250, it's a badass monitor. I'd probably not pay over $300 for it, though. BTW, I bought mine directly from Samsung using EPP and a deal from a few days ago, not sure if it's still active, but it was two of these for $420.

Sorry, haven't tested any gaming features, it's not what I bought them for.
