other than $200 magically disappearing from my bank account, what makes this so special over a bluetooth kb with trackpad?

Does anyone know if this will work with the new iPad Air 13" M3? I know the M2 will work but will the M3 work?

Anyone try?

Always thought it was funny how you can pay MSRP for this or buy a whole baseline iPad instead 😂

No, it wont match the size and the magnets behind, and the pins where the data connect

FYI, I purchased an excellent condition white one from BB for $90. Make sure to check your local BB.

I chose a 3rd party version over this because I wanted to be able to turn my iPad Pro vertically and this one won't do that.

Hi. Can you share a link to the one you ended up choosing? Thanks in advance. 🌺

I bought mine for about $100 used (I'd personally suggest that instead of this deal) mine may also be the 5th gen model, not sure if there is a difference. Regardless, I haven't personally found a Bluetooth case that compares favorably to this keyboard. Most use a kickstand instead of integrated base and that is way less compact and very annoying to use on your lap. They also will be bulkier in some/all dimensions because of how they connect to the tablet. And I personally find Bluetooth less reliable and higher latency than first party wired connections. They might could be lighter though, this one needs the weight to stabilize the iPad without a kickstand. They are all hard differences to feel out without just using both. I use an tablet several hours a day for video, emails, Google drive, and web browsing. And I personally really like this combo with a 13" pro M1 (also bought used).

No it won't. The magic keyboard for ipad M4 has a larger trackpad and is lighter than this model.

The Apple logo and design integration. If you use your ipad a lot for travel like I do, it's very convenient to have the ipad and keyboard/trackpad all in one unit. It's pretty heavy and there are plenty of knock-offs available for less, but the setup works very well and is reliable. The keyboard has no battery and is powered directly from the ipad. Also has a charging port on the side which frees up your ipad USB-C port for other things.
False. The Apple version is the knock-off.
