This is one of my favorite tools. It works on everything I've used it on. It's actually made in Japan and is super high quality.

Nail puller. Sounds painful but may come in handy when I need to extract the ATM password for my client. In for 1. Thanks.

No longer made in Japan. Now Taiwan and lower quality. Also not 10.6", but 9 3/4" long. Apparently Estwing uses creative measuring now as well.

As of Feb 2024, 11" is still made in Japan.

9" made in Taiwan

No guarantee that what you receive will be made in Japan, as Estwing appears to be moving production to Taiwan and is listing both countries on the product page now. Though it looks like the $20 ones (11 and 12" models are still Japanese).

I use the 9" for pulling carpet staples and its a dream. For the larger sizes, which is more practical for general use? Is there a major difference between the 11 or 12?

These are one of those tools that you don't think you'll need, but end up using alot especially if you do a lot of wood work or demo.

Have one of these, definitely a great tool. We're not talking half off but good deal for $10. If you are on the line, get it, you won't regret having it.
