Just... why? Acupressure is meant to be targeted pressure on specific nerve centers to relax muscles. This is just a non-specific torture device on the uneven parts of your body

I've never tried the neck pillow (or this brand), but I love the mat for my back. You have to work through the discomfort the first minute or two, but after that it feels amazing. Getting off of it sucks, but do it quickly and it hurts for a shorter period of time lol. Probably getting this since I seem to have misplaced my old one.

My unscientific answer based on using one for years as needed, it increases blood circulation which helps reduce inflammation. I wouldn't use it instead of acupuncture, but when my back is tight or a bit sore and I lay on it for 15-20 minutes I feel much better after.

I was introduced to this "torture" device, and initially laughed it off. After using it a few times I can confirm that this thing has been the most effective method to reducing tension in my back- by far! I've purchased one & use it regularly with continued great results.

In the beginning I had to use it while wearing a t-shirt because of the uncomfortable sensation & pain but have now graduated to using it on bare skin. I agree with the earlier comment that the first 2 minutes are uncomfortable but it's amazing to experience your whole back slowly relax The pain is definitely worth the end result!!!
