I believe the coupon is for subscribe and save option and added to first order. No reason not to S&S and then unsubscribe.

Theory: Price on lithium batteries like this is going down hard. Reason: Extensive use in door locks in hotels/hospitality.

So you are saying hotel and travel will decrease? Were these batteries dirt cheap during COVID?

I have no dog in this fight, but that's not how I interpreted what he was saying. I think he was saying that such heavy utilization and demand is vastly increasing manufacturing capabilities and supply thus lowering cost.

theory: the price on these will not go down. Reason: There are strong patents on this particular battery formulation which is why only Energizer makes them. Volume and raw material cost changes don't necessarily impact price when you have a captive audience.

Warning use caution: last time I got these exact type of batteries from amazon they were obviously fake...lasting only one day compared to same batteries bought in store (which lasts weeks; I use these Energizer Lit all the time).

I purchased a 24 pk from Amazon, and I received a tiny box with six 4-packs, not in clamshell packaging, and suspected they were fake. So I contacted Energizer customer service, sent pics, and surprisingly, they stated that the batteries were authentic. However, they were not of the standard I expected. Lasted less than two 6 hours shifts in a flashlight.

Luckily, there IS a way to ignore a user in particular. Handy.

Yup, there isn't anything else like an energizer ultimate lithium on the market. If you see other things they are rechargeable, or alternate chemistries with an electronics package like powerowl.
the 1.5V cylindrical primary lithium ion cell is patented by energizer and they prosecute infringement vigorously.
I've not seen anything on the market that is comparable (and legit). If you have found some I'm sure everyone would be interested.
